A group of nine children from Downholland Haskayne CE Primary School spent the afternoon at Bellway’s Lydiate Gate development for an educational yet innovative site visit.

Andy Sharpe, Bellway’s site manager at Lydiate Gate, was thrilled to welcome the pupils to the development. During the visit, Andy hosted a walking tour of the site, showcasing houses at different stages of build, from foundation of concrete slab to the frame being in place and the roof in situ making it watertight. He also introduced the children to various trades.
The highlight of the site visit for the pupils, aged between six and 11, was the brick laying lesson, with each of the nine children trying their hand at this particular trade.
