McCarthy Stone, the UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, has announced the start of construction on an exclusive Retirement Living development in Knutsford.
Work is now well under way at the development on Northwich Road, where a total of 46 one- and two-bedroom apartments are being created.
McCarthy Stone has also announced that the development will be known as Centennial Place. The name has been chosen in recognition of the Centennial War Memorial, unveiled in October 2018, which remembers all of the local people who lost their lives in the two World Wars.
The memorial incorporates the statue of Haron Baronian, an Armenian student who left his university studies in the UK in 1915 to volunteer for the British Army but sadly lost his life while on active service. Originally commissioned as a family memorial, the statue was relocated to the War Memorial Cottage Hospital in Knutsford during the 1970s.
Fiona Brooks, Divisional Sales & Marketing Director for McCarthy Stone, said: “Centennial Place will offer a unique brand of Retirement Living with well-appointed homes and a ready-made community in the heart of Cheshire, and lots to explore locally. Great interest is anticipated in living at Centennial Place so anyone interested should get in touch as soon as they can to discover more.”
Properties at Centennial Place will be released for sale off-plan in April 2023 and are scheduled to be ready for occupancy in Autumn that year. Outright purchase, rental or part-buy, part-rent options will all be on offer.
Centennial Place will offer everything necessary for a fulfilling and independent lifestyle, with luxuriously appointed homes and a communal lounge, beautifully landscaped gardens and a guest suite so residents can invite guests to stay overnight. A house manager will be based on-site during office hours, while peace of mind will be provided by a camera entry system and a 24/7 call system.
