The UK is home to some of the world’s most prestigious automotive brands. These are vehicles whose name commands respect, and the desire of motorists with deep pockets and high expectations. Some of the more popular brands in the UK come from outside the country, to be sure – and what constitutes a ‘luxury’ vehicle is a matter of perspective.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the brands whose reputation screams luxury!
Rolls Royce
For more than a century, the Rolls Royce brand has been in use. Every member of the Rolls-Royce stable is named after a word for ghost, with the Phantom being the flagship model and the Wraith being the budget-friendly option (relatively speaking). Just a few thousand Rolls-Royce are sold every year, with most being completed in Sussex after having been started in Germany. They’re highly tailored to the specific needs of the customer, which allows them to appeal to those with very particular tastes; they’re also popular on special occasions like weddings.
Mercedes
If you’d like to go overseas, and you’d like to limit your spending just a little bit, then a Mercedes might fulfil a lot of different criteria. Since there are more Mercedes on British roads than there are Rolls-Royces, you’re in good company choosing this luxury car brand. When you’ve decided this is the one for you, it’s easy to lease a Mercedes and all the benefits this brand will offer you.
Bentley
Bentley first rose to prominence in the 1970s, and has been sitting at the very top end of the luxury car market ever since, surviving a purchase by the Volkswagen in 1998. The manufacturer’s output now includes vehicles of every shape and size, including SUVs – but it’s the saloon-style luxury cars that the manufacturer is best known for.
Land Rover
Over the years, the four-by-four vehicle has gotten more traction with the executive class. You’ll find plenty of luxurious mod-cons in the cabin of the average Land Rover, and you’ll have the privilege of towering over your fellow motorists. It’s easy for manufacturers to offer super-premium versions of larger cars, as there’s always space to be had – and vehicles of this sort make a great deal of sense for wealthy motorists in rural locations. A fully kitted-out Range Rover will turn heads almost as reliably as a Bentley or a Rolls Royce.
