Local residents and businesses of Sale Moor are invited to review the findings of the first September consultation event and continue to engage on the future potential of the Warrener Street Car Park site at a public drop-in event at Lime Tree Primary Academy on Tuesday 22nd November 2016 between 4.30 and 7.00 pm.

The Warrener Street site and its adjoining plots together form an important gateway to Sale Moor Village, creating an opportunity to enhance perceptions and attract more people to stop, dwell and spend locally.

As a publically owned asset the Council must ensure that development of the car park site achieves best value in both financial and socio-economic terms. Towards this aim, Cushman & Wakefield has been instructed by Trafford Council to undertake an independent Options and Feasibility Study to inform and determine the site’s future potential.

An initial public consultation event held in September didn’t identify a single preferred option for the site but did reveal the key aspirations and concerns of local people. In response to the feedback received, a number of new alternative development options have been worked up which better meet local objectives but remain deliverable.

Cushman & Wakefield and Trafford Council are keen to encourage local residents and businesses to come along to the drop-in event to view the new alternative options and provide their input on the future of this important site.  The comments provided at the consultation event will form part of the on-going review and support the development of a preferred option.
