Local agencies up against national competition in prestigious DEAs
Two Bolton-based digital agencies have been announced as finalists for the Digital Entrepreneur Awards (DEAs), the long-standing tech awards celebrating the best digital talent in the UK.
Bring Digital, which specialises in SEO, PPC, content marketing and affiliate services for clients throughout the UK, could go home with the Digital Agency of the Year award.
Tao Digital Marketing, offering marketing services to businesses who want to improve their online presence, has been shortlisted for the Digital Start-Up of the Year award.
Now in their 15th year, the Digital Entrepreneur Awards, sponsored by British technology firm UKFast, celebrate Britain’s online offering and cover a wide range of digital categories, from Online Retailer of the Year and Best Mobile App to the esteemed Digital Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Matt Tomkin, founder of Tao Digital said: “We are ecstatic to be shortlisted for the Digital Entrepeneur Awards under the category Digital Startup of the Year!
“Tech is an integral part of everything we do on a daily basis. We are passionate about helping others understand the importance technology has, especially to business. By working closely with the local council and education centres, we want to encourage more individuals to get involved with the digital sector.”
On the judging panel for this year’s awards is Jacqueline de Rojas CBE, President of techUK and co-chair of the Institute of Coding. A Non-Executive Director for both Rightmove and Costain, de Rojas is hugely a well-respected figure in the technology and digital sector.
The judging panel also includes Vikas Shah, CEO of Swiscot Group; Susie Ma, founder and CEO of Tropic Skincare; Naomi Timperley, co-founder of Tech North Advocates; and Lawrence and Gail Jones, co-founders of hosting firm and DEA headline sponsor UKFast.
Judge Jacqueline de Rojas said: “The DEAs are a great way for businesses to shine the spotlight on their innovation teams and to showcase the incredible ideas fuelling the UK as a digital nation of significance.
“I believe that acknowledgement fuels motivation. Businesses that enter are the ones that try harder, fail faster, win bigger.
“The UK is a hotbed for creating great tech businesses, fueled by brilliant innovators. The opportunity to see who is writing our digital future is exciting and the DEAs lift the lid on what’s coming next!”
The Digital Entrepreneur Awards ceremony takes place at the iconic Principle Hotel in the heart of Manchester on 21st November.
