South Lakes office of specialist home care provider Alcedo Care Group has been rated ‘Good’ in all areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Holding providers accountable, the CQC is the independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England, undertaking regular inspections to ensure services delivered meet essential standards of quality and safety.
Providers are evaluated across five areas including safety, effectiveness, care, responsiveness and leadership and services are then given one of four ratings. To achieve a ‘Good’ rating is means the service is performing well and meeting all required expectations.
Alcedo Care Group is one of the largest quality home care groups in the UK and it delivers a comprehensive range of specialist and highly complex nurse-led clinical care services plus traditional domiciliary care, live-in care and mental health care for those with challenging needs in the home setting. The clients it looks after range from just a couple of months to over 100 years old.
Headed up by regional manager Vickie Leecy, the team delivers around 1000 hours of care to more than 30 clients each week across the whole of the South Lakes region.
