SGi Shepherd Gilmour has secured a hat-trick of contracts on three major construction projects in the North West.
The Manchester Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering Consultancy will work as engineers on the 92,569 sq ft Scottish Power depot in Middlewich alongside family construction company Pochin and on db symmetry’s 120,000 sq ft industrial unit in Knowsley.
SGi also won the contract to work on Bupa’s new £50 million flagship headquarters in Salford Quays.

It comes after the company last month announced it had grown its turnover 100 per cent to £1.2m.
Emyr Jones, Director at SGi Shepherd Gilmour, said “We’re thrilled to be working on these three standout projects in the north west”.
“At SGi Shepherd Gilmour we’ve built a strong reputation which generates repeat business. We’ve grown our turnover and our staff in the last 12 months and we hope to continue to win large contracts so we can keep growing. Engineers can be invisible but we pride ourselves in providing good strong support for our clients.”
At Salford Quays SGi has been appointed by Morgan Sindall Group to complete the detailed design work they had developed for previous owners Peel Land & Property Group. Bupa’s new headquarters will provide office space for around 2,000 staff when completed.
The company will play a lead role in transforming the former manufacturing facility at Huyton Business Park – located at Tarbock Island interchange at J6 of the M62 in Knowsley – into a large industrial unit which will meet regional occupier demand and be available for lease or purchase.
SGi’s engineering work on Pochin’s brand new Scottish Power depo in Middlewich will create a larger facility than the current depot which will be home to more technicians, office staff and engineers.
