Zoom Video Meetings: Curious Moments Happen

There is not a single person left on Earth that didn’t learn what Zoom is. Sure, we no longer have to get up early and travel to work, but isn’t that an ultimate excuse for working from home in your pajamas after transforming our home work space? Many of us have experienced a different kind of bugs and how a Zoom conference call fails in the most hilarious ways.

Accidentally switched monitor display

Did you ever join a Zoom call sleepy or hungover, that you shared your screen by accident? Of course, you did! What was on your screen? Imagine being in the skin of your boss who was watching adult content or playing progressive jackpot slots while allocating the tasks to your team. That story never goes to bed, it becomes a classic Covid anecdote with its screenshot stuck on the internet forever.

Funny Wakeups For Zoom Call

There is no such thing as a morning routine before going to work anymore. We wake up with funny hair and not enough sleep due to binging all seasons of Sherlock the previous day, now thinking that we are entitled to behave like Mr. Holmes from the show and not give a rats ass. The truth is, our bosses might not think so. The safest thing you can do, straight out of bed, is put a frozen screenshot of yourself on your screen and casually fall back asleep when no one is looking.

Singing happy birthday to colleagues

Aside from zoom incidents, there are happy moments we were able to share online with our teammates. But, in a zoom room full of people, there will always be that one person whose signal is too weak (yes, I mean you, Greg!), who will sound like a beatbox to your Happy birthday song, and with the beat that couldn’t have been more wrong for the occasion. Sorry to spoil, but we all have a Greg in our office.

Kids Factor

What are your favorite Zoom moments a camera has recorded? Mine is definitely a professor guesting on a morning TV show and shouting out to his kid that entered the room during the interview. That scene was a blast! Life is tough enough with you not being able to do your daily tasks and get away from home, but with children staying in with you, joining school online, well that’s just a blooper waiting to happen.

Bathroom Moments

Waking up to a Zoom call with your colleagues is not the most pleasant thing you can imagine. However, what must they feel like if you automatically switch your camera and mic on, and move on to the bathroom to do your morning routine? I’m sure we’ve all heard many stories of people caught going to the bathroom. It happens to the best of us, that even if the camera is switched off, people on the other side of the call hear our flush. Now, that’s a bon appetite to our dear coworkers having their breakfast on time!

Curious turning off your Zoom virtual background

Zoom has invented virtual backgrounds for a reason. Most of us are not photogenic and we do not look like a Chad on camera (truth to be told, we are more similar to monsters from Monster.Inc), but the fact that people have to look at us and our camera fails is something we have to deal with. People looking into our lives through the backgrounds of our video? Not so much. Our virtual pam beaches are there to cover the mess the children have made – empty crisp bags and diet cokes all over the place (okay, fine, the mess we made ourselves – our apartment looks like we were getting it ready for shooting with our sworn enemy like Greg). Virtual background mess-ups are the worst!

Keep calm and enjoy your zoom call meetings

If you are on your webcam all day and need something else to do on your computer to prevent yourself from going insane, might as well hit the slots at an online casino such as 500freeslots.com. That way, even if something goes terribly wrong and you get fired, at least you’ve made some savings while at it.
