Co-op’s Priory Lodge Funeralcare marked Father’s Day with a community event to help commemorate much-loved fathers, grandfathers and other special people who have passed away.

The Anfield branch of Co-op Funeralcare, located in Anfield Cemetery and Crematorium, was open to the public from 10am-1pm on Father’s Day (June 16).

Colleagues gave out handmade bookmarks featuring Father’s Day poems for members of the local community.

There was also tea and coffee available, and an opportunity to talk to colleagues, who are experts in delivering a sensitive, caring and professional service for families within their local communities.

Johanne Ridout, Funeral Director at Co-op’s Priory Lodge Funeralcare, said: “Father’s Day is a wonderful celebration of our dads’ lives but we also recognise that it can be an incredibly difficult time for families.

“We’re always on hand to offer support and advice, and the event really was a great way to commemorate all of the loved and lost men in our lives.”

Thanks to Co-op’s 1% scheme, a total of £19m has been raised for key local causes across the UK since November 2017.
