MORE than 500 people have registered interest in just 24 new homes being built in Woodley.

In response to the demand, Elan Homes has launched its St Marks Pavilion development off plan. A show home is due to open soon, but the homebuilder is encouraging purchasers not to wait.

Elan regional sales and marketing director Marie Morris explained: “Our new homes in Woodley have been eagerly awaited – some people initially enquired around three years ago when it was announced we were helping Bredbury St Marks Cricket Club relocate to new premises and would be redeveloping the Hillside Road site for new homes. We’ve been letting those who registered interest in the homes know that selected properties are available to reserve off plan.

“Feedback is that they’re waiting to see inside the show home, but we have a range of assets to support buyers including video footage and 3600 virtual tours available on our website, along with the floor plans. The sales team will be happy to help guide people through the plans. Plus, we have similar show homes available to view nearby at Hazelfields in Poynton.”

St Marks Pavilion will eventually comprise just 24 private sale homes in a choice of four and five-bedroom designs, with electric vehicle charging facilities for all homes.

Subject to build stage, buyers will be able to make their home their own from the start by selecting from a range of options and upgrades. This includes choosing the finish of the kitchen, bathroom tiles, wardrobes and flooring.

Initial prices are from £499,995 for a five-bedroom semi-detached Dunham.

It offers 1,461 sq ft of living space, set out over three floors and includes an upgraded kitchen with granite worktops.

The kitchen is at the front of the property, with combined dining room and lounge at the rear benefitting from French doors opening out onto the garden. A cloakroom completes the ground floor.

Three bedrooms, including main bedroom with en-suite, plus the family bathroom are on the first floor.

Two further bedrooms and a shared shower room are on the top floor.

Recognising those looking to buy a new home at St Marks Pavilion are likely to have a house to sell, Elan will consider part exchange. It’s a speedy solution to selling and buying as the homebuilder effectively acts as a cash buyer for the customer’s current property.

Along with new homes, St Marks Pavilion will see existing mature trees retained and the provision of public open space, including a local area of play, invertebrate house and hedgehog house.
