It can be extremely hard to enjoy a situation if you feel lost and confused. A new staff member may have the appropriate qualifications for the job; however, they still have yet to work in your office.

Communication

A major cause of discomfort for employees is not feeling valued. It can be hard to get up every morning and work the same job without knowing that you are making even a little bit of progress.

That is why it is important to open up communication channels between all of your staff. You can do this with social media or with your own company intranet. Giving your employee the chance to talk with other workers throughout the day can give them the confidence they need, and can help them solve problems without having to feel guilty for asking for assistance.

Dress-Code

A lot of mainstream offices will ask their staff to dress in a specific way. This is because they are the face of the company, so black shoes, ties and black tights are often the norm. However, these clothing options aren’t always the most comfortable to work in. The black tights found at Heist are a good price, but every other clothing option is a bit costly.

Why not relax the dress-code a bit more, or at the very least provide the option for a casual Friday. Again, a comfortable worker is more likely to be productive, so sacrificing your smart dress-code could have more positives for the company overall.
