After deciding the time was right to freshen things up, a solo homebuyer has purchased her fifth new build property, this time opting to move to Barratt Homes’ Longridge development, Bowland Meadow.

Angela Howell (68), a Volunteer in the local RSPCA Charity Shop, is Lancashire born and bred having originally come from Whalley. With the money gained from the sale of her former property, Angela was able to purchase her brand-new home at the Longridge community.

Once every approximately 10 years, the retired Shop Manager turned Volunteer has opted into buying a more modern new build home, with the latest being her fifth.

Angela said: “Rather than carry out potentially long and costly DIY projects to update and rectify any issues, I wanted that feeling of everything being brand new again. The location and price available with Barratt Homes was ideal.

“I purchased a three bedroom Moresby and it really is the perfect plot for me. I love coming back to peaceful, private home, and the green space out the front tops it all off.

“I’ve never known a house so warm either – I haven’t needed to turn my central heating on so far when I’ve previously needed to keep it on for 14 to 16 hours a day, my energy bills haven’t been anything more than £50 so far.”

After selling her previous home, Angela opted into rented accommodation for several months while she waited for her next move, and when it came to purchasing with Barratt Homes, she was full of praise.

Angela continued: “The whole process was extremely straightforward. Tracy Barlow, the Sales Adviser at Bowland Meadow, has been amazing. She has never been difficult to reach either over the phone or by email and is always ready to help me with any questions I have.

“The fact that the home was ready to move into, was a far better deal than many other similar builds available elsewhere, and I was fed up with renting, it was the ideal move!

“The location is fantastic, too. Here, I am just a five minute walk away from the high street and less than one minute away from the nearest supermarket, so access to work and food shopping could not be better.”

Michaela Lancaster, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Manchester, said: “We’re so excited to have Angela as a member of our community here at Bowland Meadow.

“She is making an invaluable contribution to the local community through her volunteering and so we are more than happy to help her find her dream home. We would like to invite anyone else considering a move to book an appointment with the Sales Advisers.”

Bowland Meadow currently has a collection of two, three and four bedroom homes available with prices starting from £138,995.
