Altrincham-based Dunham Care, a leading provider of luxury care homes, is delighted to announce the appointment of Mike Wilson as Chief Operating Officer, as well as Trisha King, who has been appointed Registered Home Manager of Herne Bay Manor.

With over 25 years of transformational leadership in healthcare, Mike joins the executive team at a pivotal moment in the organisation’s growth journey, bringing a wealth of strategic and operational expertise.

A Registered Mental Health Nurse and long-standing member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Mike has a strong track record in delivering quality across complex, multi-site healthcare operations. Widely respected for his ability to balance regulatory compliance with financial performance, he is best known for his commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care.

Mike’s leadership is rooted in building high-performing teams and cultivating strong stakeholder relationships. As COO, he will play a critical role in shaping Dunham Care’s next phase of expansion, with a focus on delivering future-ready, high-quality care environments that reflect the group’s luxury care philosophy.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike to Dunham Care. His experience, insight, and values align perfectly with our commitment to redefining the standard of elderly care,” said Chris McGoff, CEO of Dunham Care. “As we expand across the country, Mike will be instrumental in ensuring we maintain the highest levels of care and quality.”

Trisha brings over 40 years of experience in health and social care, with an extensive background as a Registered General Nurse, Care Home Manager, Commissioning Manager, and Regional Director.

Trisha is known for her ethical leadership, strategic insight, and heartfelt compassion. Her focus on dignity, respect, and mentoring has consistently empowered teams to deliver outstanding resident outcomes.

Chris continues “Trisha brings not only an incredible depth of experience but also a genuine passion for delivering care with dignity, compassion, and respect. Her leadership style is both inspiring and inclusive, and I have no doubt she will create a culture where residents feel truly at home and staff feel empowered to thrive.”

Herne Bay Manor, in Kent, is set to open in November 2025, offering 67 spacious en-suite bedrooms, beautifully designed communal spaces, and a comprehensive suite of care services including nursing, residential, dementia, and respite care. Under Trisha’s leadership, the home will set a new standard for luxury care in the region.

Dunham Care’s expansion continues at pace, with the launch of Bowdon Manor scheduled for 2026. This flagship home will further elevate Dunham’s portfolio, blending clinical excellence with elegant living.

In Congleton, work has now commenced on the group’s third care development, designed to address the local shortfall in care beds and retirement housing. The project will feature both a state-of-the-art care facility and high-quality new-build homes, creating an integrated lifestyle and care setting.

With eight additional homes in the pipeline across the UK, Dunham Care is entering a period of strategic, sustainable growth, underpinned by its mission to provide the very best in luxury care across the UK.
