As part of its overall financial approach, Burnley Council is reviewing and updating its Asset Management Strategy.
The document will be discussed by the council’s executive on Tuesday (20 th September).
Alongside plans for the future use and development of its land and property assets, the proposed strategy sets out plans for:
Continuing investment in the council’s sports, recreation and play facilities
Disposal of surplus land and buildings
Changes to working practices and consolidation of office use
Traffic infrastructure improvements
A range of initiatives to support and develop the local housing market
Ongoing substantial investment in Burnley and Padiham to help to improve, protect and retain thriving and vibrant town centres
