Leading housebuilder Bellway has donated £500 to Congleton Town Council to contribute towards its Christmas in Congleton event.
With Somerford Gate, a development of one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes, located just two miles from Congleton town centre, Bellway was thrilled to support the Town Council’s Christmas campaign.
Bellway’s generous sponsorship will support the Switch-On event and the festive season, helping to make this special time of year even more enjoyable for the community.
The Town Council has made a significant contribution to Christmas in Congleton, including a substantial investment in installing and maintaining the town’s lights. It has also taken on the organisation of the event, funding road closures, arranging entertainment and stalls, and introducing a new inclusivity area on Mill Street to ensure the event is accessible for all.
Rachel McCarthy, town centre & events officer for Congleton Town Council, says: “Christmas is a great time in Congleton and this year we are committed to enhancing the festive cheer, making it an extra special time for everyone in the area.
“We want to increase the amount of community-based Christmas activities, making them more attractive and accessible, ultimately encouraging more people to visit the town centre during the festive season. To do this, donations from local businesses, like Bellway, are very much required.
“We are so grateful to Bellway for their support, it’s great to see a local housebuilder get involved in the local community. There is still time for other organisations to help out with a monetary donation, so please get in touch!”
Jenny Bell, sales director at Bellway, adds: “Many of our residents at Somerford Gate will be in the town centre in the coming weeks enjoying the festive fun, so we were happy to help with the Town Council’s Christmas in Congleton event. They have done a great job; the Christmas tree in the town looks fantastic, as do the lights, and with lots of community activities planned, everyone who visits is sure to have a super time.”
Somerford Gate, located on Black Firs Lane, currently has a collection of two, three and four bedroom homes available, with prices ranging from £244,995 up to £547,995.
