The Cheshire’s popular heritage visitor attraction The Danny, will wave off its last 2021 cruises on the 1st and 8th October. Once moored for the winter, apart from private charters,  the team and volunteers are straight to work on refurbishments, maintenance and planning. While we may have to wait until April next year for the heritage steamship to set sail again, work doesn’t stop for the 1903-built steamship’s owner Dan Cross and his team.

In 2022, the heritage steamship will be launching a portfolio of new cruising, to include more themed cruises for families, foodies and those who enjoy a tipple, taste and talk.

Dan & co. are developing new themed cruises with the support of local food and drink artisans. The idea is to bring together independent specialist across the region and help them grow their businesses, reach new customers through experiential day tourism.

“We welcome businesses in the Cheshire region who would like to showcase their produce to get in touch. One of our aims in 2022 is to give local businesses a helping hand. We will continue our community work, which has been super successful this year but expand our commercial community relationships. Our themed cruising provides local food and drink specialists an opportunity to showcase their wares to customers specifically joining a cruise to taste and learn about  local companies”.

Visitors from across the UK travel on board The Danny, a national maritime icon. Cheshire distillers and producers who wish to work with The Danny crew will put their brands on the map, flying the flag for Cheshire enterprises.
