For GCSE and A Level students keen to improve their subject grades, or who are dissatisfied with their current remote learning, Abbey College Manchester has developed an innovative new tuition programme designed to protect and enhance academic progress.

Abbey Online, a unique initiative established by the leading independent school, is a pioneering way to help learners in Year 9 to Year 13, during what is a worrying period of time. The programme will benefit students seeking to boost their grades and address any gaps in their learning as a result of the Covid-19 lockdowns, providing them with the invaluable opportunity to demonstrate to their teachers the grades that they are capable of achieving.

Covering the core subjects of Chemistry and Maths, in addition to Business, the bespoke programme commences in Easter with week-long intensive support courses, including two-hour sessions in both the morning and afternoon.  With the content not tailored specifically to one exam board, Abbey Online offers a flexible option to refresh subject knowledge and re-enforce core concepts for all students.

Ensuring a positive learning experience, each live class will have a maximum of five students, allowing for class discussion and interaction to keep learners motivated about their subject during this time of uncertainty.

Principal, Liz Elam commented on the new programme, “Across the nation students have experienced unprecedented disruption to their education and have faced much uncertainty around grading structures, fearing that their results may subsequently suffer.

“At Abbey College Manchester, we are passionate about enabling students to receive the grades they are capable of and reach their full potential. The foundation of our college is in offering revision support for GCSE and A Level courses and so, we have taken this knowledge along with the success of delivering online learning throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, to develop this robust programme of online subject support and to help us to achieve success together.”

The programme will begin week commencing 5 April 2021. For those interested in learning more about Abbey Online visit: www.abbeymanchester.co.uk/abbey-online/ or email abbeyonline@abbeymanchester.co.uk
