The Blackpool Resort Pass was the first of its kind that offered two different passes with customers able to add bolt-ons, launched in the UK in February 2013 offering visitors access to up to nine of the resort’s top attractions at huge discounts.

Passes were on sale from January through to the beginning of November and this years sales have clocked up over a £1,000,000. This represents a massive 37% per cent increase in sales against over the same period in 2015.

It also equates to a staggering 17,098 passes being sold in 2016 compared to 12,607 in 2015.

Cllr Campbell, Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council said: “We are absolutely delighted with the success of this years Blackpool Resort Pass, with over £1,000,000 pounds worth sold it’s an incredible achievement for the attractions and the team tasked with its promotion.

“It’s been up and running since 2013 and it is clear that it is incredibly popular with visitors to the resort. We hope to continue to build on the success and add new and exciting bolt-ons for 2017.”

As well as bringing key attractions together in one pass, the Blackpool Resort Pass is also designed to encourage visitors to stay longer in the resort.

And research by VisitBlackpool shows this is the case, of 589 people surveyed about the Blackpool Resort Pass more than 89% said they stayed overnight, and with 31% stayed more than five nights in the resort. A fantastic 96% said they would recommend the pass to a friend, whilst 68% of people were very satisfied that they received value for money. 99% sold we’re bought by people visiting the resort from outside Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.

There are two Blackpool Resort Passes:
