A Blackpool based care home has been named in the Top 20 Care Homes North West England award for the fifth year in a row.

MHA Pennystone Court has won the award following the annual Care Home Awards by carehome.co.uk.

The award recognises 20 of the top-rated care homes in each region of the UK based on reviews from residents and their family and friends.

The home has managed to achieve a perfect score of 10 for the last three years, which is a huge achievement.

For the Northwest, Pennystone Court has been the only MHA home since 2020 which has been awarded the accolade.

Lisa Robins, home manager said: “This is a very proud moment for all of us at MHA Pennystone Court.

“I have been the home manager of the home for the last five years and every year we have been winning the award.

“I was very confident we would win it again following the score we received and again the credit goes to the staff who have delivered an exceptional level of service.

“Even during tough times like the height of the pandemic we managed to pull through and deliver the service expected of us.

“The score reflects the work the staff put in and I am immensely proud of every single staff member we have.

“I hope the team continues to work in the same way and I can’t see why we can’t win this again next year.”
