Housebuilder Bellway Manchester turned pink for charity during the month of October, with its popular development, Royal Bowland Park on The Fairways in Westhoughton, raising £1662 for Breast Cancer UK.
Andrew Walker, Bellway’s sales advisor at Royal Bowland Park, hosted afternoon tea at the development inviting residents and interested purchasers to attend. Having dressed the sales and marketing suite in pink, and with a fabulous pink free flow balloon display at the entrance of the development, all guests were encouraged to bake a cake and bring it along.
The event was a great success. Julia Higgins, from Westhoughton, was chosen by Andrew and Bellway’s sales manager Sonia Ross as the winner of the cake competition, receiving a £150 gift voucher. Julia’s incredible M&M cake really impressed guests.
Sonia says: “Hosting the Breast Cancer Awareness event was a wonderful way to reconnect with residents at Royal Bowland Park, as well as spend time getting to know potential purchasers. It was a really relaxed afternoon, and all the cakes were superb, but the M&M cake was definitely my favourite!”
In addition to the event at Royal Bowland Park, Bellway Manchester hosted a series of events for Breast Cancer UK during October at Grey Gables Farm in Bamber Bridge, Park Gate Village in Knutsford and Marmalade at the Jam Factory in Droylsden.
Sonia concludes: “Being involved in the local community is so important to Bellway and we are thrilled to have raised £1662 for such an important cause.”
There is currently a selection of three and four bedroom detached homes available at Royal Bowland Park, with prices starting from £364,995. With two stunning show homes to view, a visit to the development is a must, open five days a week. For further information, please call 01942 446976 or visit www.bellway.co.uk.
