Wanting to offer a helping hand and provide some support to those in need in the local community, Bellway has donated £250 and three big boxes of non-perishable food items to Hope Central.
The Bellway team at Park Gate Village, on Hamman Drive in Knutsford, kick started the initiative by making the monetary donation as well as filling three boxes of much needed food produce. Residents who have bought and live at the development also supported the cause by donating items, from tinned vegetables and fruit to tinned meats, sauces, drinks and biscuits. A variety of products were generously given.
Committed to bringing hope and relieving poverty in Cheshire East, Hope Central is a Christian charity run by local churches.
By meeting the immediate food needs of individuals and families through the foodbank, Hope Central aims to change people’s lives for the better. The charity also works to help eliminate the underlying causes of poverty such as debt, unemployment, money management and addictions. They provide professional support and safe environments for people to meet and address these issues.
Ian Roberston, Trustee at Hope Central, says: “It was wonderful being contacted by Bellway offering help, both monetary and much needed food items. Support from local businesses is so important. We help around 250 people weekly at our foodbanks and with the cost of living remaining high, are committed to providing our services to as many people as possible for as long as they need it.”
Grace Yarlett, sales director at Bellway, adds: “There is a real community spirit in Knutsford and at Park Gate Village, a vibrant new community has been created. Our team and residents at the development came together to do something good in the locality and we are delighted to be able to help Hope Central.”
Bellway is currently building a collection of two, three and four bedroom homes at Park Gate Village. Prices start from £329,995. For further information, or to book an appointment to view the showhomes, please contact Bellway on 01565 859 078.
