Junior and senior pupils at Beech Hall School have showcased sheer determination, resilience and athletic prowess, competing in the school’s highly-anticipated triathlon, biathlon and individual sports challenges.
Representing and securing coveted points for their school house – Ash, Yew or Oak – pupils took on a challenge of their choice with swimming, cycling and running amongst the activities. For the highly ambitious children opting to embark on a triathlon, their feat included twenty lengths of the pool in their desired style of swimming, a quick sprint to the bicycle to complete twenty-five laps of the school playing field, and a race around the school grounds which included twice around the football pitch.
There was encouragement, camaraderie and intense competition in abundance as the pupils cheered on their fellow housemates from the sidelines. Following a demanding afternoon, the pupils celebrated their efforts and achievements by enthusiastically jumping into the pool for a fun swim.
Beech Hall School Headmaster, James Allen commented, “Whether they opted to participate in a triathlon, biathlon, a run, swim or cycle, each and every pupil approached their own personal challenge with a highly positive ‘can do’ attitude. To see them finish their events exhausted demonstrates just how hard they have worked and we are very proud of them for their accomplishments.”
