The generous donation by MUFC followed Lewis’s dedication and enthusiasm in being responsible and loving where he lives throughout the recent Trafford Council bin it to win it campaign litter pick.
By encouraging the public to appropriately dispose of their waste, Bin it To Win it is a fantastic opportunity for all of Trafford’s residents to get involved in being responsible and contribute towards keeping Trafford tidy, safe and clean.
Held across the Broomwood community this half term, the Bin it to Win it campaign litter pick, in partnership with G-Force, is part of Trafford Council’s commitment to helping keep Trafford clean and green.
Cllr Reilly, Executive Member for Economic Growth, Environment and Infrastructure, said: “We all have a responsibility to protect our environment, and by working alongside our residents and partners, we have the opportunity to do something remarkable. We are immensely grateful to Manchester United Football Club for pledging their dedication to help keep Trafford tidy by supporting this campaign and for gifting Lewis, an avid MUFC fan, with these tremendous tickets.
I also want to extend thanks to intu Trafford Centre, Lancashire County Cricket Club, Tesco, Trafford Leisure and HOLT Business Solutions Ltd, for their support and commitment to this campaign.”
Fellow Broomwood Primary School pupil, Corey Wilson, also displayed great commitment throughout the litter pick and has received a pair of Vue Cinema tickets for his effort. Both boys were also presented with a personal litter picking kits by the prestigious Helping Hands Company, the World’s largest manufacturer of Litterpickers.
