Prizes on offer included homemade cakes, spa treatments and rounds of golf. Fieldfisher’s quirky auction raised over £1,300 which will go towards school uniforms, sports kits and stationery to be used throughout the Autumn term.
Wood Street Mission works with children and families across Manchester and Salford who are living in poverty. For almost 150 years they have been offering practical help and services to families, to alleviate poverty and improve children’s life chances.
Ian Austin, Partner, Dispute Resolution, said: “We’re delighted to have raised such a large amount for Wood Street Mission’s “SmartStart” project. We’ve supported the charity for over 18 months and wanted to do something timely for local children which would really have a positive impact on their education. We believe that serving the community is not just a responsibility but a privilege and we’re mindful to put something back into the local communities we’re part of.”
