Panacea Building Systems has appointed Mike Foy as director.
In his new role, Mike will take responsibility for the business activities of Panacea Building Systems, overseeing all live and pipeline projects, and supporting Panacea Building Systems managing director Dean Johnston to drive growth and awareness.
Panacea provides innovative offsite lightgauge steel framing and dry lining solutions for a number of key clients in the healthcare and residential sectors. The concept provides a bespoke solution to the specific demands and challenges of complex build projects.
Constructed offsite, it is delivered in the required order for installation which accelerates traditional build programmes making the process faster, simpler and more economically and environmentally efficient.
Mike will take an holistic approach covering all pre-construction, commercial and operational activities, while also developing new partnerships and making the Panacea system available to new customers.
Professionally qualified as a quantity surveyor, Mike brings more than 25 years’ experience to his new role, having worked in quantity surveying and operations management and as a commercial director for specialist contracting and subcontracting businesses. Prior to joining Panacea, he most recently worked in a pre-fabrication facility overseeing the offsite manufacture of construction materials and delivery to projects across the UK.
He said: “Having worked with Dean Johnston in previous roles, I have closely followed the growth and development of Panacea which is a superb product. With my relevant expertise in this area, it was a logical move for me allowing me to join a company with great potential at this exciting time.”
Panacea Building Systems managing director Dean Johnston added: “We are delighted that Mike has joined Panacea. Having specialised in offsite solutions for the last 17 years, he brings a wealth of experience to the role and I am confident he will be a great asset as the business develops. Having worked with Mike previously I already know the drive and commitment he will bring to Panacea.”
Age 44, Mike lives in Stockport with his wife and four sons. His weekends are largely taken up with grassroots football and coaching his youngest in the East Manchester Junior Football League. When not coaching or supporting from the sidelines, he is an avid Manchester United fan and enjoys going to the gym and country walks followed by a quick drink in the pub with his wife.
