Richard Nixon, who lives in Brampton and is a partner in the Muckle LLP Real Estate team, recently became a trustee for the charity, which gives free specialist care and support for adults with life-limiting conditions.
Muckle LLP, which has a hub in Penrith, has a long-standing relationship with Eden Valley and its children’s hospice Jigsaw and remains committed to supporting people and communities across the county of Cumbria.
Muckle recently awarded the charity a £1,000 grant from its Muckle Fund at the Community Foundation towards it’s new initiative, Club 24, which provides businesses with the chance to fund 24 hours of vital, compassionate care to a local family at a time when they need it most.
Last summer, a 17-strong team of hikers raised over £12,500 for Jigsaw and Carlisle Youth Zone through the Lakes 3000 challenge.

He said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed as a trustee for Eden Valley and Jigsaw and to continue strengthening our commitment to this very important charity. Eden Valley and Jigsaw do some amazing work by providing specialist care for children, young people and adults with life-limiting conditions. Its people provide free care and support to patients and their families in North Cumbria.”
