St Oswald’s Church, on Golborne Road in Winwick, has received a monetary donation for building works from housebuilder Bellway.
Revd Martin Cox was preparing a budget for additional building work, upgrading the steps that lead from the Church to the A49, when Bellway got in touch.
With work now well underway at its St Oswald’s Place development on Golborne Road in Winwick, Bellway wanted to get involved with the local community and happily made a donation of £300 to the Church, which Revd Martin Cox was able to include in his budget, boosting the project funds.
Revd Martin Cox says: “Bellway’s financial contribution towards the cost of this project was timely and very much appreciated. It’s always nice when businesses in the locality support the Church.”
Standing proudly above the village of Winwick, St Oswald’s Church is a beautiful building with a rich history and a warm welcome for everyone that visits.
Grace Yarlett, Sales Director at Bellway, adds: “Our new development in Winwick is just a short distance away from St Oswald’s Church. The Church really is a landmark in Winwick, so much so we named our development after it.
“We were really keen to get involved with the Church in some way and were thrilled when Revd Martin Cox told us about the work required on the steps. It’s great that our donation can contribute to this project.”
Bellway’s St Oswald’s Place development will launch at the end of November. The development will provide a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes. With its semi-rural location in Winwick, yet a short drive to Warrington town centre and benefiting from excellent transport links, St Oswald’s Place is perfectly placed for buyers.
