EXPERT advice is being offered to help people looking for a new home in Heywood achieve their goals.
Anwyl Homes Lancashire is hosting a special event at Whittle Brook Park on Saturday, January 20 when its team of homes advisors will be joined by mortgage specialists providing free, independent financial advice, and experts from Home Move Hub, who can help those with an existing property to sell.
Those who reserve a new home in Heywood before the end of January could benefit from a special package of incentives worth up to £25,000.
Anwyl area sales manager Amy Houlihan said: “January is a busy time for the housing industry as there’s generally a surge in people starting their homebuying journey. Whether you’re buying your first home, upgrading to a larger property for your growing family or looking to downsize, we can help.
“Join us at Whittle Brook Park on Saturday and you’ll be able to speak to independent financial advisors, who have access to the whole mortgage market. They’ll be able to provide free advice on the products currently available, including green mortgages, which could result in more competitive interest rates, and are only available on energy efficient homes like ours.
“For those with an existing property to sell, moving specialists from Home Move Hub will be on hand to explain the help on offer through our Move Simple scheme. Our homes advisors will guide visitors through the sustainable and cost-saving features of our new homes in Heywood, including the benefits of air source heat pumps instead of traditional gas boilers.”
A total of 120 new homes are being built by Anwyl across almost 15 acres of land on Manchester Road in Heywood, as part of the wider West Hopwood scheme. Once complete, the new neighbourhood will comprise around 1,000 new homes, plus 1.5 million square feet of employment space, a local centre, new primary school, extensive public open space and sports pitches.
Whittle Brook Park offers a good range of contemporary style, bespoke designed homes with three to five bedrooms. Current prices start from £299,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Altham style property.
There are three show homes to help inspire buyers, examples of the three-bedroom semi-detached Edgworth, four-bedroom detached Higham and five-bedroom detached Whitworth.
The Anwyl homes at Whittle Brook Park are predicted to be Energy Performance Certificate B rated or above, while the average existing property in the UK is D rated. Thanks to improved energy efficiency they potentially use around 55% less energy on average per year, and reduce carbon emissions by 40%.
“Heating and hot water in our homes in Heywood are provided by air source heat pump, which are one of the most economical and eco-friendly heating solutions available,” Amy added.
“The air source heat pump is controlled via an app with the ability to personalise your home’s comfort by setting climates for each room and to review your energy consumption to help keep track of bills.”
The homes boast wider cavities to external walls and improved air tightness, which provides increased levels of insulation and reduces heat loss, along with increased levels of ground floor and roof / loft insulation. Energy efficient light fittings are included throughout, as are water efficient fixtures and fittings to help reduce water usage.
