Research undertaken by betting giants, 888Sport has asked premier league fans to predict where their side will finish at the end of the season.
The 2022/23 season is almost at its half-way point, and it has been one which has already thrown up some surprise packages. With an unprecedented mid-season World Cup now out of the way, the focus is back on the clubs.
After defeats against Brighton and Brentford in their first two games of the 2022/23 season, Manchester United fans could have been forgiven for their pessimism. Since then, Eric Ten Haag has stamped his authority at the club, and The Red Devils have seen a massive up-turn in form. Now, almost at the season’s half way point, 87% of Man Utd fans think they will finish in the top 4, with the majority of fans (53%) backing their side to finish in third place.
From the data received, 888Sport complied a predicted end of season Premier League table, which sees Manchester United sitting in third spot, as The Red Devils look to re-establish themselves amongst Europe’s elite.
Importantly, Ten Haag has earnt the support of the fans, with 90% believing he is the right man to take the club forward. 888Sport also asked fans which position they must strengthen in January, with 66% of Man Utd fans identifying a striker as the most needed addition. The fans’ wishes have already been granted with the signing of Dutch international Wout Weghorst.
