Liam Burton, 19, an office cleaner from Crewe, is celebrating after becoming a TikTok sensation. He has amassed more than 52,000 TikTok followers in just under a month for his employer Fabulosa, based in Crewe, Cheshire.

Liam took over Fabulosa’s TikTok page in January when it only had 400 followers, and within weeks, the videos he posted were engaging thousands of fans in the UK and abroad.

When Liam was furloughed from his 20hr/week restaurant job last year due to COVID-19, he reconsidered his career and secured a job cleaning at Fabulosa’s head offices.

Liam says, “As soon as I started working at Fabulosa, I had a great feeling about the company.  One day in January, whilst cleaning the offices, I decided to do a few TikTok videos on my personal page. Very quickly, I was getting thousands of views and comments on my posts. I couldn’t believe how much people loved them!”

Liam showed his popular videos to Jen Sharpe, Fabulosa’s chief fragrance officer, and she offered him the opportunity to manage Fabulosa’s TikTok page.

In less than 4 weeks, the company’s TikTok page has gained more than 52,000 followers. Often, Liam appears on the channel, entertaining people with his great cleaning content, amusing people with his comedy sketches, and wowing them with his make-up skills. So far, their most popular post has racked up more than 500,000 views.

Jen Sharpe, Chief Fragrance Office at Fabulosa said, “We quickly recognised Liam for his big, creative personality. We had to hire another cleaner so Liam can solely focus on creating amusing and engaging TikTok videos. We are keen to continue to reach Gen Z customers who are the biggest users of TikTok.”

Adam Burnett, Fabulosa’s Marketing Director said, “Liam is really talented and full of creativity, and we can’t wait to watch him grow both personally and professionally at Fabulosa. We have been celebrating an outstanding year of growth, achieving a substantial £30m of sales in 2020 and targeting £40m of sales in 2021, and we know that keeping our customers engaged is one of the secrets to our success!”

Commenting on the success of Fabulosa’s TikTok page, Liam said: “I honestly can’t believe how quickly we have grown our audience on TikTok this past month. I am loving the experience and I am now inspired to develop my design skills so I can do even more with my creativity.”

Fabulosa’s highly innovative approach to fragrance and product development has meant that in less than two years the family founded and managed disinfectant brand has taken the UK market by storm, verified by

Kantar which identify Fabulosa as ‘the fastest growing disinfectant brand of 2020’ with market share gains from Dettol and Zoflora (Kantar, 2021).

Sales growth was made up of discounter and also its own e-commerce channel sales – which saw more than 88,000 web orders since January 2020.
