PLANS have been lodged for a new development of 115 homes on land off Nell Lane, Chorley.
The Manchester office of national planning and development consultancy Lichfields has submitted a full planning application to Chorley Borough Council on behalf of the developer.
The proposed housing will comprise; 14 two-bed units, 60 three-bed units and 41 four-bed units, with a mix of seven different house types, including semi-detached and detached dwellings.
Lichfields’ Senior Director and Manchester office head Simon Pemberton said: “Lichfields initiated pre-application discussions with Chorley Council in October 2019. The proposals are of high-quality design, situated within a sustainable location for this type of scheme.
“The site has been identified as suitable for housing and in an area where Chorley Borough Council want to direct growth and investment.”
The site extends to approximately 3.45 hectares, and is bound by Cuerden Caravan Park to the west of the site, and Nell Lane to the north.
The houses will be private rented. If approved, the developers intend to deliver significant off-site improvement works on Nell Lane, including traffic calming measures. The scheme includes extensive landscaping throughout the site while each home will also be provided with two parking spaces.
