An action packed first night of BBL Championship games saw the Leicester Riders, B. Braun Sheffield Sharks and Worcester Wolves pick up their opening victories.
 
Leicester Riders extended their home record against the Raiders to 20-1 with an impressive 97-79 win. Namon Wright and Jamell Anderson dominated together, racking up 23 points a-piece whilst Kyron Cartwright showed an immense passing clinic, dishing out 19 assists.
 
Sheffield Sharks also got their revenge from being knocked out of the BBL Cup last weekend, defeating Bristol Flyers 71-85. Nick Lewis showed out, tallying 20 points and grabbing eight rebounds followed closely behind by Mackey McKnight who had 19 points on a very efficient 7-8 from the field.
 
And Worcester picked up a 93-75 victory over Surrey Scorchers with Amir Williams picking up a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds, in only his second appearance for the club. Mark Hughes and Cortez Edwards added 17 points, with Edwards also tallying a double-double with an additional 10 rebounds. New signing to the Scorchers, Lovell Cook, scored 16 points in his debut for Scorchers but came up against a very tough side in Worcester.
