Liveman Properties showed off its multi-million- pound redevelopment of the iconic Salford Quays Dock Office to more than 100 VIP guests – and launched the eight remaining penthouse apartments.

Set up by brothers Michael and Guy Marsden, Liveman Properties is behind the landmark scheme which has seen the art deco Grade II listed building on Trafford Road transformed into 67 apartments.

The penthouses – which look out across the Dock with a are a two-storey duplex addition to the building – offer views of the Manchester city centre skyline, Salford Quays, Old Trafford football stadium and MediaCityUK.

Guests at the VIP Showcase gathered at the top of the 61,249 sq ft residential space and enjoyed canapes and drinks from Spinningfield’s restaurant and bar Neighbourhood, an art exhibition from Clarke Art including pieces by Lowry and also got the chance to shop at a Harvey Nichols beauty and accessories pop-up store.

Julie Twist, of Julie Twist Properties, who is marketing the Dock Office apartments, said: “The VIP showcase was a great success and almost all of the exclusive apartments have been sold.”

“The quality and craftsmanship which has gone into these homes is unlike anything else available on Salford Quays.”

Michael Marsden, of Liveman Properties, said he and brother Guy were granted planning permission to transform the Listed Dock Office building within nine months of the date of acquisition, achieved through a close working relationship with Salford City Council and the sensitivity shown by architect Billy Hodge of DV Architects.

Describing the redevelopment of a building which was constructed in 1927 by Harry Fairhurst and Son, he said: “The Dock Office was a standalone one-off opportunity to breathe life back into the most important building on Salford Quays.”

Guy commented “This is the first redevelopment undertaken by Liveman Properties and it demonstrates our skill set in dealing with complex planning issues and the refurbishment of a Listed building to create luxury living space. The further proof of this was tonight when we sold a further three apartments”
